Health > Real stories > Archive > P > PregnancyPregnancyby MeganIt was 20th April, not long after my 15th birthday. I was outside the pub bored out of my brain, when the guy I have fancied for time actually noticed me. He was 18 and I was 15, we started talking, one thing led to another. I didn't know how to say "have you got a condom", it didn't cross my mind. I was mad on the guy and we ended up sleeping together unprotected. The next day I knew I had to go to the sexual health clinic. I finished school and I had an appointment booked. I finally arrived there and I couldn't go in. I couldn't tell anyone what I had done. I felt dirty, horrid, I was 15 and I thought the people inside would think horrid things about me. So I missed the chance to receive emergency contraception. Three months without a periodA few weeks later I was worried as my period was due now and I was late. So I started getting paranoid, I still didn't dare talk to anyone so I thought nothing of it. Three months later I still hadn't had a period. I wasn't talking to the guy anymore. On the 20th August I worked my way over to the guy I was mad on and told him everything. He didn't believe me so I had a pregnancy test. It came back positive. I was pregnant at 15. I was scared, really scared. When I told the guy he shouted and shouted, so I walked home crying. I got home and my mum asked what was up with me. I told her everything and she was there for me. We went to a doctor and I was nearly four months pregnant. I couldn't even think of getting rid. A baby boyThe next day I told the guy I was having his baby and that he would have a child come January. In January, on the 26th, I gave birth to a baby boy I named Baily. He is nearly nine months old now. His dad realised what he had done wrong, he should of supported me through it all but at least my baby son knows who is father is. My message is that as much as you might be in love with your guy, make sure one of you bring up PROTECTION otherwise you may regret it. REMINDER: The age of consent in the UK is 16.
